“Fake Plastic Trees,” Scala & Kolacny Brothers. After being enchanted with this group’s cover of “Friday in Love,” I did some high-powered Internet research and discovered they are a Belgian girl’s choir. They have a penchant for Radiohead, covering “Creep,” “Everything in its Right Place,” and “Exit Music (For a Film)” over the years. Personally I can’t imagine falling asleep to a more lovely, haunting thing than this cover of “Fake Plastic Trees,” my favorite Radiohead song. This is what church should sound like.
I LOVE this song. Brings back so many memories. And this is a heartbreakingly lovely rendition of it.
The former choirgirl in me has a soft spot for SSAA vocal arrangements.
The former totally alienated teenager in me has a soft spot for Radiohead.
This combines the two brilliantly.
On my iPod.
